PRE-ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS

Basic Requirement

   Everyone who aspires to be an MT must have the following basic skills and attributes:

      1. Must have no hearing impairment.
      2. Must type at least 20 words per minute.
      3. Must have good English oral and written skills.
      4. Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft XP and Microsoft Word
      5. Must be familiar with usage of the internet.
      6. Must have extreme attention to detail and be a perfectionist at heart.

   Certificate Program for Medical Transcriptionist with Non-medical Background

  
This program is designed for those enrollees who do not have medical background. Minimum requirement includes at least one year of college with good English and computer-literate. Although developed for those without prior medical knowledge, students with medical or allied health background may also take this Program, should they opt for a reviewer course. The Program runs 9 months, 6 months in the school and 3 months maximum On-the-Job Training (OJT).

   Certificate Program for Medical Transcriptionist with Allied Health Background


  
This program is designed for students with previous allied health background, whether practicing, non-practicing, or still in college. For college students, however, at least one year of basic medical sciences should have been taken prior to enrollment. These subjects, as evidenced by the transcript, include anatomy, physiology, diseases, laboratory medicine, pharmacology, psychiatry, and others. Allied health professions include physical therapists, nurses, medical technologists, pharmacists, psychologists, midwives, and so on. Degree programs may further include any of the premedical degrees, such as biology, genetics, and biochemistry. The Program runs for 6 months, 4 months in the school and 2 month maximum OJT. Acceleration, through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), as well as fast-paced development of skills, is possible

   Certificate Program for Medical Transcriptionist for Doctors

   This program is designed for students with strong medical background, whether practicing, non-practicing, or still in medical school. Degrees under this classification include doctor of medicine, doctor of dental medicine, doctor of veterinary medicine, and others. Background in clinical medical sciences such as surgery, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, and healthcare records is essential. The program runs for 4 months, 3 months in school and 1 month maximum OJT. Acceleration, through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), as well as fast-paced development of skills, is possible.

   Call Center Training

   Aspiring call center agents can undergo a one month training with us for FREE. Interested Call Centers can also send their near-hire applicants to us and we will equip them with the necessary skills to become call center agents. Training would include the basic call flow, accent training, introduction to American culture, and confidence building. This is not your usual call center training class because not only do we enhance your english communication skills, we also develop your personality in the process. This is designed for students who have the motivation to build a career in the call center industry.
