The Basic MT Training Program for High School Graduates includes
a very extensive study of the 5 competency
areas (English, Medical Knowledge, Healthcare Documentation,
Technology, and Professional Development)
needed for comprehensive MT training. This training program
is designed especially for secondary school
graduates who want to enter the medical transcription profession.
The Certificate Program for Medical Transcriptionists for
Non-Medical Course Graduates is designed specifically
for college graduates of non-medical courses who want to make
the transition into the medical transcription
profession through the Basic program and review.
The Certificate Program for Medical Transcriptionists for
Allied Health Course Graduates is for RNs, Physical
Therapists, Medical Technologists, Pharmacists, and other
healthcare professionals who become exposed
to all systems specialties and may, if requested and qualified,
accelerate as the Doctors.
The Certificate Program for Medical Transcriptionists for
Doctors/ medical course graduates is for MDs, DDMs,
DVMs, and others who have clinical medical background in surgery,
ophthalmology, ENT, and the like. This program
credits RPL (recognition of prior learning), which allows
for an accelerated course.
All medical transcription programs have a comprehensive On-The-Job Training.
