Course Descriptions

The length, scope and depth of our training programs depend on the educational attainment of the    student, in line with TESDA’s RPL (recognition of prior learning) and individual student skills.

The Basic MT Training Program for High School Graduates includes a very extensive study of the 5    competency areas (English, Medical Knowledge, Healthcare Documentation, Technology, and Professional    Development) needed for comprehensive MT training. This training program is designed especially for    secondary school graduates who want to enter the medical transcription profession.

The Certificate Program for Medical Transcriptionists for Non-Medical Course Graduates is designed    specifically for college graduates of non-medical courses who want to make the transition into the medical    transcription profession through the Basic program and review.

The Certificate Program for Medical Transcriptionists for Allied Health Course Graduates is for RNs,    Physical Therapists, Medical Technologists, Pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals who become    exposed to all systems specialties and may, if requested and qualified, accelerate as the Doctors.

The Certificate Program for Medical Transcriptionists for Doctors/ medical course graduates is for MDs,    DDMs, DVMs, and others who have clinical medical background in surgery, ophthalmology, ENT, and the like.    This program credits RPL (recognition of prior learning), which allows for an accelerated course.

All medical transcription programs have a comprehensive On-The-Job Training.
